Medical Laboratory Assistant

Overview

A two-year programme that provides students with the basic knowledge, skills and attitudes needed to enter the healthcare system as a Medical Laboratory Technician. Students develop knowledge, skills and judgement in assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating laboratory care for all age groups.

Entry Requirements

• ✓SSSCE: aggregate 27 or better — grades A–D in three core subjects (English, Mathematics, Integrated Science) and A–E in three elective subjects.
• ✓WASSCE: aggregate 42 or better — grades A1–C6 in three core subjects and A1–E8 in three electives.
• ✓Mature applicants with relevant experience may apply and sit an entrance examination and interview.
• ✓International applicants: qualifications verified by WAEC and proof of English proficiency.
• ✓All applicants complete an interview and selection process.
